What is HydraLip Microneedling?

It's the same science behind a paper cut, our skin regenerates to create new bouncy skin until the paper cut disappears. Therefore, each time we microneedle were stimulating the skin's natural healing response, looking more younger looking radiant and bouncy; essentially the closest we can get in rewinding the clock without surgery or fillers. Your lips are done by creating tiny micro wounds in the uppermost layers of the lip skin with our microneedling tool and cartridge, there is minimal blood drawn and it's minimally painless, however there is a little sensitivity around the Vermilion border from what clients report. When these micro injuries are created the skin cells of the lips get to work rebuilding and restoring, that means the cells are activated and the white blood cells flood the area to begin producing collagen-dense new skin tissue. When this new skin tissue is created the lips are not only appear fuller they are literally fuller and you can get some dramatic results when you pair a lip plumper product with your HydraLip microneedling routine. 

When you microneedle your lips you are essentially creating micro channels in the skin where a product or serum that is applied post treatment or during treatment can penetrate deeply and reach the cells more effectively something like Hyaluronic acid or a peptide can increase the plumping effect of the needling and help with the rebuilding of the lips while ensuring your lips are healthy and hydrated as possible. All the while being minimally invasive minimal downtime an reduced risk of complications.

 

 

 The skin around our lips is much thinner and more delicate than the rest of the skin on our body. Compared to the skin on the face,  lips have 10 fewer cellular layers this means that microneedling can actually penetrate numerous layers of the lip skin and deliver more dramatic results than it can anywhere else on the body essentially the results, with increased HydraLip microneedling sessions, are amplified. When we're targeting the lips it's like a bonus to the hydration with increased collagen building.

 

Our lips require more moisture to remain healthy, so since microneedling has the ability to force the skin to work in overtime to produce new tissue, you are able to reveal newer healthier skin every time you microneedle. Slowly building the collagen and creating a fuller look as sessions pass. When we do this procedure, we are not only stimulating the lip skin but the immediate surrounding borders of the lips where fine lines can appear, Such as smoker lines, or aging fine lines. 

 

This service does NOT guarantee a full “Injection filler look”, in one shot or to the density of filler might offer, we are enhancing what you have naturally and can slowly build an increase volume, but more importantly hydration to the lips giving you that plumper fuller appearance. End result of needling the lips is that they are healthier feel less dry and smooth out some of those fine lines while  increasing volume.

Post Care:

Once you HydraLip microneedling is complete you will leave the studio with an SPF lip gloss applied. This you must maintain at home as well, as hydration is key. Sun protection is just as equally important, this will protect for sun damage and hyperpigmentation to the lips; Additionally avoid using any potentially irritating lip products over the next few days to let your lips fully recover. You will notice a slight peeling a few days later, this is normal, just make sure you exfoliate well, while washing your face and make sure you apply a hydrating lip balm that contains SPF going forward. This will give you fuller enhanced healthy looking lips. Drinking, eating or having a smoke is prohibited for 30 to 60 minutes post session

Possible side effects/Contraindication’s:

Some clients may or may not experience redness swelling or bruising after a treatment, this is normal and will resolve itself within a few days those however with active skin infections, blood clotting disorders, pregnant or breastfeeding should consult a health care provider before using this session make sure it's safe and appropriate for their circumstances. If there is an active outbreak of any form of infection the session cannot be completed until fully resolved. If you experience cold sores, this service may trigger an immune response and may cause an outbreak. 

 

Number of sessions:

This Depends on the client, desired outcome and current lip condition. Most people require four to six sessions for optimal results but your provider may recommend more or less depending on your individual case. Sessions are booked four Weeks apart, but your collagen will continue to grow months after. So if you were to come every four weeks you're building upon building blocks to encourage a quick turn around while collagen is increased. You can achieve the same look spaced out booking sessions seasonally should you choose the results will just take longer.
